The City of Montesilvano, with ICEI supervision, is coordinating the preparation and implementation in its own territory of all the project work packages implementation. It is supported by two local civil society organizations selected by public procedure: Movimentazioni and Formula.

Each of them is encharged of specific project WP according to the signed agreement. The main aim is to stimulate participatory processes among citizens.

Starting from main ITA.C.A. project, that brought to the elaboration of the “Carta viva per la Modena Interculturale” and to the introduction of an Intercultural Table gathering different Departments and Offices of the Municipality, within DiverCities, the City of Modena played the role of promoting and enhancing interculture mainly through 5 assemblies gathering 141 participants to discuss the Carta Viva and by promoting idioms and mother tongues as a tool of intercultural dialogue.

Pontedera has been acting for a long time in a network with administration, municipal offices and educational services that relate with third sector entities that manage services aimed at citizens of foreign origin, cultural and sports associations, counseling and social services, associations, social housing agencies and other entities.

Loures municipality and RPCI are working on the implementation of the Divercities’ multiple work packages. The partners are working with two local and experienced grassroots / CSOs (AMRT and AMUA). These partners are based in the neighborhood of Apelação, whose community participate and benefits of the project and where the final project takes place. Both cooperate to engage citizens in the intercultural participatory assemblies. The assemblies have generated a conversation about housing conditions and the lack of Spaces for intercultural interaction . Thus, the  requalification of a local Garden was planned togheter and inaugurated on the 15th June along with awareness raising activities. A final seminar will also be held on the 19th June for local partners and other cities, to share the results and learnings.

The process generated through the Divercities Project has been relevant Castellòn because it has allowed to work for planning the process to be developed, promoting the creation of an own method that responds to the specific needs of the administration and the real demands of the social fabric and existing citizenship in the city.

In Logroño, a participatory process has been carried out with the objective of knowing citizens’ perceptions of intercultural coexistence. For this purpose, intercultural assemblies have been held by diverse discussion groups. The Assemblies debate the reality of interculturality and diversity management in various areas, providing valuable information on the possibilities, difficulties and needs for intervention in the city’s intercultural strategy.

The City of Zaragoza have organizated participatory events to collect opinions and discuss topics related to interculturalism in three suburbs where there are higher immigrant population. The City of Zaragozas have organizated a meeting of de Spanish Intercultural Cities Network and, also, an activity called “Zaragoza Diversa”, where different groups of immigrants asociations, and non-profit Social Entities participate and show the diversity of the city in order to raise values of tolerance.

Ioannina has a diverse cross-cultural background, shaped by the presence of various cultures and ethnicities over the years. The city’s unique history has led to a mix of cultural influences that have left a lasting impact on its identity. DIVERCITIES mobilized the City of Ioannina in organizing 4 Intercultural Assemblies, each with a different topic (Cultural Heritage and Tourism, Social Inclusion and Welfare, Economic Development and Entrepreneurship, Environmental Sustainability).

Diversit – ACI main role is to provide support, knowledge and expertise to the participating cities in the planning and implementation of activities. In addition, Diversit ensures a wide national knowledge sharing and dissemination of results and lessons learnt through the Spanish Network of Intercultural Cities.
